Motherhood is always a huge topic of conversation - how we portray ourselves once mothers being the most discussed. ‘The Mother’ has been depicted in many different ways over the years, yet the mother is very rarely consulted. These immense expectations make it really difficult for us as mothers to know how we want to be shown when having our photograph taken.

The act of posing during my shoots, often goes out of the window. When capturing a mother and her children, firstly I want the mother to feel beautiful and ‘photo-ready’ yet comfortable enough to be 100 percent her raw, authentic self. 

As mothers we tend to put ourselves in the backdrop of photographs - there but not quite seen. The most important factor for me during motherhood sessions, is to see a mother exist in photographs with her littles.
