A couple of months ago I had the pleasure of photographing Carly and Brett say their ‘I dos’ at the wonderful wedding venue that is The West Mill.

Not being able to pick my favourite images of the gorgeous couple, and the fantastic 1800’s industrial architecture, I thought it was only right to write a little blog and share more.

Carly chose a stunning Pronovias wedding gown, with Brett and his best men looking just as show stopping in Whitfield and Ward.

The couple chose subtle stationary, which complimented The West Mills exposed brick walls and big feature windows perfectly. Long candlelit tables dressed by Michele Gledhill with lots of green and white floristy, made the guests feel as though they were dining like royalty. Out in the courtyard, a quirky balloon arch from Dottie and Love balloons added a touch of fun, and worked as a great backdrop for guests selfies.

With Carlys sister flying over from America and playing on the grand piano during the wedding ceremony, it was sure to set off the waterworks and add a lovely personal touch.

Carly and Brett wanted little staged photography on their wedding day, leaving more time to chat and enjoy the company of their friends and family. With my laid back, blend into the background approach, their photographs really do portray only the most genuine emotions and love everyone experienced on that very special day.
